AgendaReader

Agenda Reader is an updated version of Tim Wentford's TWReader, which was ported to the Zaurus and developed beyond it's original features for the Zaurus platform. With help from Tim I have ported the Zaurus app back to the VR3 so that we can enjoy it's improved text support and greater range of e-text formats.

Features

• Supports plain text, Aportis Doc, Plucker, Peanut Press, ppm, Zlib compressed, and simple HTML.
• Displays in bold and italic fonts
• Experimental mods to file selector

Bugs / Missing Features

• SIGSEGV on find (gzipped file) - patch available below
• Needs support for installed fonts
• hyperlinks in plucker should work
• Performance bugs

NB libz is needed. A copy from the 1.2.0 toolchain is included - place it in the /home/default directory. Extract the files and put them in the /home/default directory. link into /home/default/.wmx/.icons and /home/default/.wmx/Applications? as usual, ie. telnet into the agenda,

 ln -s /home/default/twreader .wmx/Applications?/TWReader?

File browser

I should point out that I'm experimenting with small icons in the file browser as seen above. The icons have the following meanings:

• underlined up arrow with two dots: move up one directory
• underlined house icon: move to home directory
• underlined slash icon: move to root directory
• underlined down arrow with one dot: move to current directory of the application (or move back to it)
• blank (white) document icon: show application recognised files (eg. .pdb files)
• dark asterisk (black) document icon: show all files
• tick icon on black tile background: open file and close browser window
• cross icon on black time background: cancel and close browser window

There are some bugs and features missing. Some of the features of the previous browser are missing (ie. the keyboard shortcuts which IMHO don't make sense on the VR3)
